Today people
think that women are liberated in the West and that the women’s
liberation movement began in the 20th century. Actually, the women’s
liberation movement was not begun by women but was revealed by God to a
man in the seventh century by the name of Muhammad (peace be upon him), who is known as the last Prophet of Islam.
The Qur'an and the Traditions of the Prophet (Hadith or Sunnah) are the
sources from which every Muslim woman derives her rights and duties.

Her
position in early Islam was really an exemplary one, one that should be
studied and known by every woman as well as every liberationist in the
twentieth century--- in America as well as in the Muslim World. The
Muslim woman, if she is true to the principles of her religion, has
lessons in equality to teach the Westerner, and her descendants in the
East have to learn anew the role demanded of them by their religion.
Orientalists and Orientals zealous for modernization should cease to
put the blame on Islam, a blame which instead deserves to fall on their
own ignorance of the faith and on the political and social decline
which their nations suffered in the past.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

The most perfect believers are the best in conduct and best of you are those who are best to their wives.

The Muslim Woman's Dress

Islam
is flexible and quite easy to implement, while still allowing room for
individualism and expression through dress. There are no prohibitions
for women's dress on color, cloth, or style so long as they fit basic
requirements. Those requirements are:
THE FIRST REQUIREMENT: Extent of Covering
THE SECOND REQUIREMENT: Looseness
THE THIRD REQUIREMENT: Thickness
THE FOURTH REQUIREMENT: Overall Appearance

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): "In later (generations) of my ummah there will be women who will be dressed but naked. On top of their heads (what looks) like camel, humps.
Curse them for they are truly cursed." ln another version he added that
they "will not enter into paradise or (even) get a smell of it."

Purdah and the Muslim Woman’s dress code as appointed by Allah Almighty
